JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Field Agents to join our team. As Field Agents, you will work primarily outdoors and be responsible for conducting various field-based activities related to agricultural production, environmental management, and natural resources conservation.
In this role, you will work closely with a Field Agent Supervisor and other team members to ensure that field work is completed effectively and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include performing soil and water sampling, monitoring crop health and growth, conducting pest and disease assessments, collecting data on wildlife populations, and performing other field-based activities as required.
The ideal candidates for this position should have a passion for the outdoors and a strong interest in environmental and agricultural issues. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions and be physically fit to perform the required tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conducting field-based activities related to agricultural production, environmental management, and natural resources conservation, such as soil and water sampling, monitoring crop health and growth, conducting pest and disease assessments, and collecting data on wildlife populations.
• Following established protocols and procedures for data collection and management, including ensuring accurate data entry and maintaining records of field activities.
• Operating and maintaining field equipment, such as tractors, trucks, GPS devices, and other tools and instruments required for field work.
• Communicating effectively with team members, including Field Agent Supervisors, to ensure that field work is completed efficiently and in accordance with project goals and timelines.
• Maintaining a positive and professional attitude while working in a variety of outdoor conditions, such as extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and difficult terrain.
• Participating in team meetings and training sessions to learn about new field techniques, technologies, and protocols, and to share knowledge and experiences with other team members.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Field Agent Supervisor or other project leaders to support the successful completion of project objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• KCSE Certificate or equivalent (some positions may require a bachelor's degree in a related field).
• Previous experience in environmental or agricultural fieldwork is preferred but not always required.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow established protocols and procedures for data collection and management.
• Ability to operate and maintain field equipment, such as tractors, trucks, GPS devices, and other tools and instruments required for fieldwork.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, record-keeping, and communication with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations for extended periods.
• Previous data entry or related experience preferred, but not required
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind.
• Travel to and work in remote locations for extended periods, which may require camping or staying in local accommodations.
Exposure to wildlife, insects, and other outdoor hazards.
• Work with potentially hazardous equipment, such as pesticides or fertilizers, which require adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Work in a team environment, collaborating with other Field Agents, Supervisors, and project leaders to achieve project objectives.
• Regularly communicate with team members to report progress, discuss challenges, and plan field activities.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings to learn about new field techniques, technologies, and protocols.
• Adhere to established protocols and procedures for data collection and management, including ensuring accurate data entry and maintaining records of field activities.
• Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing field conditions and priorities.
